I’ll keep it pretty real from the start: I’m a giver. Always have been, always will be. Whether it’s gifting my time, my energy, my creativity or even myself - my love language is to give. This love for seeing smiles light up and delight dance in someone else's eyes is what I love about being a photographer. From the photoshoot itself where I snap those candid connections, through to presenting my loved up couples and families with their final gallery - there is so much joy to be found in having memories forever.

MY STORY
let's make memories
Two and a half years ago, I officially launched Solara Photography. Before that, I had spent a few years as a hobby photographer, whipping out my camera at a moment's notice to capture the little details I just knew we had no luck remembering. The ones I love dearest, my husband and our two daughters, have always inspired me to do what I love. And what I love is capturing memories.
To this day, I can spend hours gazing at the photos that hang from my grandparent’s living room wall, a time lapse of a life I never saw with my own eyes. My grandma, blossoming and pregnant, grinning from ear to ear. My own mum, giggling and oh-so-small, almost a picture of my own daughter today. The succession of birthdays, three, four, five… As she grows and changes, these precious snaps are the only recollection of what happened as the years flew by. I am incredibly lucky to photograph the families and couples I giddily call my clients and it would be nothing short of amazing to do the same for you!
